University of Mumbai, Department of Life Long Learning & Extension (DLLE) in association with Maxell Foundation has organized a seminar titled “Maxplore – Exploring Enterpreneurship”, on 15th Dec. 2014 at Ramnarian Ruia College, Matunga, followed by Chandrabhan Colleges in Powai on 17th & Bandokar College, Thane on 19th Dec. 2014 (www.maxellfoundation.org ).
In the age of Globalization and Information Technology, where ‘Idea is Capital’ it is important that our youth become Job Creators and not just Job Seekers.‘Stay hungry, Stay Foolish’ is the only mantra that needs to be followed. The Seminar is would assist students to step by step, introspect, ideate and implement their own dreams. This would be followed by two days detailed Workshop on 'Enterpreneurship' for select students on first come first serve basis.
It is sad that our universities have become the factories producing millions of graduates every year, majority of them being unemployable. In contrast, our Industries and Jobs are growing at a much slower pace. Consequently, they are unable to employ all of them. It is important to understand that Education should not necessarily lead to Employment, but it must also lead to Enterpreneurship. It is in this background that Maxplore would prompt the students to think with open mind to be Job Creators and participate in the Nation Building campaign of ‘Make in India’.
The Seminar would be inaugurated by Ms Shaina NC, National Spokesperson BJP along with Shri Vijay Kumar Gautam, IAS, Commissioner, Employment, Self Employment, Skill Development and Director(Training), Government of Maharashtra.
The Seminar would be addressed by Nitin Potdar, Corporate Lawyer and Founder Trustee Maxell Foundation, followed by technical sessions, illustrations and Q&A for students. This would be followed by two similar programs at Powai and Thane on the 17th and 19th December respectively. It is expected that around 30 colleges would send their students registered with the DLLE Program.
